1993, THE RETURN TO THE NATIONAL TEAM

In 1993 the Argentine Football Association celebrated its centennial, during which Maradona was honored a Argentina's player of the century, and he returned to the national team for an exhibition match with Brazil. He had not played for Argentina since the final of the 1990 World Cup.

The triumphant comeback soon was lost in the chaotic ending to Maradona's season in Spain. Diego, however, would lift his last official title with Argentina one week later vs Denmark for the Artemio Franchi Cup.

The match worn Adidas brand long-sleeved jersey bears embroidered brand logo and AFA crest to front and black felt number to backside, size 4 as with all original Maradona jerseys. It was originally offered with a 1993 AFA Centennial gilt medal engraved to Diego Maradona.
